We must admit it’s been quite a year at Apex Current! In June, we were honored to be selected as a finalist for Small Business of the Year by the Birmingham Business Journal (BBJ). There have been a number of other notable achievements as well some of which include; becoming an Infusionsoft Certified Partner, building out a brand-spanking new office space at The Tower building, a team that has grown significantly along with our end of year financial projections looking stellar for a business at this stage in the game. We’re extremely proud of those accomplishments, but we’re even more proud to get to do what we love everyday serving our amazing clients. As if those weren’t enough, it looks like we have one more to add to the list for 2018.
Last week, we were notified by the BBJ that our Founder and CEO, Corbitt Chandler, has been selected among an elite class of Birmingham executives as a Finalist for the 2018 CEO of the Year Awards! From the BBJ’s website the awards, “recognize the C-Suite level leaders that show excellence among the top executives in Birmingham and in their field.”
We were floored when we found out and so was Corbitt (don’t tell anyone, but we’re pretty sure he shed some tears). Literally, 2018 has been one for the ages at Apex Current with much more opportunity and growth on the horizon!
The BBJ’s CEO of the Year Awards are one of the publications top honors celebrating past award finalists like Chad Trull who’s company, Hospicelink, recently had one of the largest exits in Alabama’s history, Clayton Mobley, Founder and CEO of Spartan Invest and John Paul Strong, CEO of Strong Automotive Merchandising. Finalists for the award are peer nominated and selected by a special panel of judges.
The awards ceremony will take place at Haven an event venue located in downtown Birmingham on December 6th at 6:00pm. There will be an expected 300 plus attendees this year for the VIP event. Please join us in congratulating Corbitt on this massive achievement and in wishing him the best of luck in taking home the award for his category on the night of December 6th! He’s worked an incredibly grueling schedule building our company and we don’t think he has plans of slowing down anytime soon!
